- It includes no distracting details of my life to take one's focus away from how cool the blog is
- It features only three friends' blogs so that you do not get confused with too many links
- It uses earthy colours -- 'earthy' is code-word for 'cool'
- It features a homemade monster font to spell my name at the top
- It features no more than one post per calendar month so as to maximize the quality of posts
